What do scouts do when it's muddy? Look for tracks, that's what! At our last meeting on April 8, the Chipmunks & Otters scanned our meeting spot for tracks with a mini-track guide. We got very muddy but made a lot of fun discoveries. We ended the Otter meeting by making bird feeders out of plastic bottles.
We have some Otters or "TimberOtters" getting ready to move up to Timberwolves. They joined the T-Wolves in learning about Mowgli & creating puppets to tell his story. We hope they'll be able to tell us the story next time.
In the summer we get together for the occasional hike or campfire. Today 2 Otters & 1 Chipmunk hiked to Hemlock Falls.
It was awesome getting the scouts together to play & meet each other today. We met at a nearby park and colored, crafted, played & snacked together. Looking forward to more adventures!
The 28th was proud to attend and participate in the Livingston's Pride Flag raising by helping to raise the flag and by leading the Pledge of Allegiance. Members of the Livingston Committee for Diversity and Inclusion and of the Town of Livingston Government raised the Pride Flag which will remain up for the month of June.
Supporting diversity and inclusion in our community is an important aspect of our scout group.
It poured but members of the 28th attended the Memorial Service and marched in the Livingston Memorial Parade showing that a scout is loyal, and smiles and whistles under difficult circumstances.
We colored 70 colorful and cheerful pictures for Color a Smile at Youth Appreciation Week in Livingston. Thank you to all the awesome kids who are sending smiles to others that need a little more cheer in their day.
The 28th came out to help clean up Prospect Park in Livingston as part of Livingston's first Pick it Up! Community Clean Up event. We picked up several bags of garbage and had popsicles to celebrate a job well done!
